Jerusalem Wineries 4990 Reserve Shiraz 2014
Syrah (Shiraz) | Israel
Dark Pomegranate red color, this Reserve Shiraz 2014 show lifted aromas of plums, cigar box and vanilla following through with fleshy vibrant fruit framed with elegantly gripping tannins and aged for 18 months in french oak barrels.
In the Hebrew year 4990, the Ramban was looking forward to leaving his home in Spain and immigrating to Jerusalem. Forty years later he arrived and renewed the Jewish community life. The wine industry was revived, and became the basis for commercial production of wine in modern Israel.
