The estate is located in the municipality Hattenheim (part of Eltville) in the German region of Rheingau. It was founded in 1953 by Johann Josef Lang and continued by his son Johann Maximilian. The operation in November 2013 by the Swiss Cheese Specialists Urban businessman and his partner Eva rape was (former MD of due to lack of follow-VDP acquired). As winemaker Eckart Waitz is responsible.
