This Montiano is Falesco's flagship product, acclaimed since the beginning as one of the greatest and most innovative Italian red, produced from Merlot planted by grafters in Montpellier, a land traditionally suited for white grapes. Beautiful, deep ruby color. Elegant raspberry, vanilla, and sweet tobacco aromas, followed by a full-bodied palate with soft tannins.
100% Merlot. In the 1960s, Antonio and Domenico Cotarella, already winegrowers in Monterubiaglio, established their first winery to produce their own wine. However, the current Falesco company was founded in 1979 by the Cotarella brothers, Riccardo and Renzo. Driven by the winemaking passion of their father, Domenico, they turned a small family business into a successful company to bestow to future generations. The Cotarella family's passion for viticulture and a strong sense of belonging to the land of origin has pushed them for over thirty years to enhance their wine heritage and to produce wines of quality.
