Efe Gold is made from Anatolian grapes and aniseeds. Raki is usually aged in stainless steal vats, and according to production standards in Turkey, a maximum 10 grams of sugar per liter can be added to Raki in the process.
Efe Gold has no added sugar, and has been aged for 120 days in oak barrels to give it a smooth taste, as well as distintive color and aromas.
