Domaine Giraud Les Gallimardes Blanc 2012
Attractive, intense blood-red color. Shows an elegant nose with strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry fruit. Powerful on the palate, it's full bodied yet smooth with flavors of apple and cherry compote, raspberry tinged with liquorice, white pepper, and wild herbs.
25% Grenache blanc, 25% Clairette, 25% Bourbolenc, 25% Roussanne. Les Gallimardes combines refined elegance, power, and roundness at the same time. It has that unique pedigree intrinsic to great wines. The label was designed by Giraud's cousin, Ruby Riccioti, world-famous architect known for a variety of projects including in particular the Bridge of Peace in Seoul, the Islamic Art Department in the Louvre Museum, Paris, or even the Philharmonic Nikolaisaal in Postdam, Germany—he's always been careful to create visual contours for Domaine Giraud's wines in line with the unique character each one conveys.
