In 1846, Pierre Gendrier founded Domaine des Huards. In 1950, about 10 acres of vines are cultivated, mainly consisting of the Romorantin grape variety. In the 1960s, the constant evolution and growth of the vineyard becomes the domain's focus. Since 1998 Domaine des Huard's vineyard has been managed organically and biodynamically. The wines produced are solely made from their vineyard's grapes. This small-production bottling of Sancerre wine has been hand-selected by Jon-David Headrick for its expression of terroir and unique character.
