Domaine De L'Ecette Rully La Gaudine 2011
Fresh and friendly, suggesting spiced pears on the nose and the palate – blossoming with a mix of green and yellow orchard fruits, drizzled with honey and swirling with notes of minerality, flowers and spice. A delectable, sassy sipper that you’ll be happy to take to supper.
This is a small family estate of 35 acres located in the village of Rully, on the Côte Chalonnaise in southern Burgundy. Father and son Jean and Vincent Daux form a solid and efficient team, in which the experience and knowledge of Burgundian tradition of the elder is complemented by the more modern schooling, energy and enthusiasm of the younger. The torch was officially passed in 1997 after Vincent completed his studies in viticulture, but tradition endures at Domaine de L’Ecette where Jean and Vincent work hand-in-hand, with a constant drive for quality and the utmost respect for their terroir.
