Domaine de la Douaix Bourgogne Blanc En Mairey 2011
The wines from Domaine de la Douaix, all in a modern fruit saturated style, without ever losing his typical Burgundy character. Bourgogne Blanc "En Mairey" is made on both the Chardonnay and a relatively large part Pinot Blanc. It ensures both freshness and a lovely creamy filling in the dry aftertaste.
Chardonnay. Domaine de la Douaix was established in 2006 by the Moustie family from Belgium, and is based in Arcenant, one of Burgundy's most beautiful villages just 6.2 miles from Nuits-Saint-Georges. In just a few years they have built a solid reputation for producing elegant and very balanced wines. The white wines have a distinct mineral touch that is so typical for some of Burgundy's most beautiful terroirs. The domain's red wines have layers of red and black-fruit aromas and display a remarkable intensity on the palate.
