Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis Premier Cru Les Vaillons 2014
Bright, clear color with a golden core. This intensely aromatic Premier Cru reveals ripe citrus fruits and white flowers. The palate is remarkably seductive with a lively attack. Its refined aromas linger on the palate and disclose plenty of fruit and a delicate acidity which gives a pleasant sensation of freshness.
Domaine Billaud-Simon is a Burgundy wine producer located in Chablis. The domaine has been growing Chardonnay in the region since 1815 and is known for producing some of the best examples of Chablis from grand and premier cru sites. Billaud-Simon owns some 17 hectares (42 acres) of vineyard land on Chablis' unique Kimmeridgian soil – the famously ancient soil composed of marine sediment, algae, and shells. The domaine's land includes portions of four grand crus: Les Clos, Vaudésir, Les Preuses and Les Blanchots.
