David Reynaud Beaumont Crozes Hermitage 2018
Blend | France
Inky robe, black tints all over it. The bouquet is a reflection of the high heat of the summer, a full-up pile of black fruit, prunes, soaked blackberries.
The palate is also copious, bears fat, ripe content with thick tannins, overt density. It’s lush, sipping wine, away from the usual brief given to Crozes. The best bet may be to leave it until 2023, by which time it might be looser, and easier to drink, away from its thickness.
