Claud La Chapelle du Chateau la Rode 2012
Blend | France
A very good vintage with aging potential of up to 10 years. An easy-to-drink, light wine with good acidity, persistence, taste, and aromas, along with notes of truffles. Also goes well as an aperitif.
95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Estated bottled by Ets Thunevin. Chateau Claud la Chapelle was founded in 1964, a family-owned property with a small production, located in Castillon, Bordeaux, France. All grapes used for the wines are grown on this property. Their vineyard has sustainable agriculture (soil composed of clay over limestone), producing rich and balanced grapes. The balanced acidity is obtained from the soil and the long growing season (thanks to moisture stored in limestone).
