Chateau Vieux Manoir 2012
Classical vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats with micro-oxygenation. Nice, intense, crimson colour. Ripe red berry fruit aromas. On the palate, the round and fleshy body is well-balanced with fruit aromas. Well-structured and well-balanced wine.
It is in the heart of Targon, 35 km South-East of Bordeaux, that the superb building of Chateau Vieux Manoir majestically stands. Its construction dates back to the 11th century and shows the passing of the several Bordeaux aristocratic families, who shaped and wrote the place history over the centuries. The property was also the former hunting house of the Duke of Epernon. In 1989, the Ballande family fell under the spell of the estate and took it over with the ambition of giving it back its former prestige. The rebuilding of the vineyard and the chateau began in 1990, done in the respect of its original characteristics of authenticity.
