Chateau St. Jean Sonoma County Chardonnay 2017
The Chateau St. Jean Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is dazzling in the glass with its very-light gold color. Inviting aromas of Meyer lemon, fresh kiwi, and rain-soaked crushed stones lead to a delicate, yet flavorful palate. Flavors of fresh nectarine and vanilla spice meet a decided core of bright acidity. The wine resembles a Chablis style—firm structure with beautiful fruit expression and a lingering finish.
Chateau St. Jean, built in 1973 on a family's dream to create a world-class winery, makes its home in the heart of Sonoma — a region of dramatic diversity perfect for growing a wide variety of exceptional grapes. Ever since, they have been passionate about crafting balanced, elegant wines. The winemaking estate is located at the foot of Sugarloaf Ridge in the Sonoma Valley near Kenwood, California. In keeping with the chateau's architecture and sense of place, the wine-tasting and retail room is housed in an elegant garden structure surrounded on three sides by terraces and outdoor garden spaces.
