Sauternes is this sweet wine from the Sauternais region of the Graves section in Bordeaux. It is made from grapes affected by Botrytis cinerea, also known as “Noble rot”. This causes the grape to be partially raisined resulting in concentrating the flavors and the sugar level while still maintaining this high level of Acidity needed to balance the wine. Oldest wine estate in the commune of Pujols-sur-Ciron it is own since 6th generation by the family Desqueyroux.
