Chateau le Marin Bordeaux 2013
This medium bodied wine is truly a crowd pleaser, and brilliant with food. The chateau creates a blend of noble varietals from Bordeaux in an offering that is medium bodied, soft and well rounded. Not as inherently dry as many Bordeaux offerings, but still featuring the dark fruit and structure one might expect. The finish is framed with supple and balanced tannins.
The Chateau is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers and run by four brothers. They farm Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc in the gravel and clay soils on this 100 acre estate. The wine shows true character, cassis, plum, rosemary and licorice. It's medium bodied and very well balanced. it finishes dry and distinctive. An ideal pairing for an array of meats, cheeses, mushrooms and legumes
