Produced by Chateau Laplagnotte-Bellevue, which was purchased in 1990 by Henry de Labarre and his wife, Claude (while she was still manager and co-owner of Chateau Cheval Blanc). The history of this small estate dates back to the mid-19th century and is located just 1.86 miles northeast of Saint-Emilion in the village of St. Christophe des Bardes. Since 1996, the 15-acre estate, as well as Chateau Cheval Blanc, has been meticulously managed by their son, Arnaud de Labarre, along with his wife, Virginie. Together, they produce two estate wines that have been certified organic starting with their 2012 vintage.
