Chateau La Haye Saint-Estephe 2008
Blend | France
Deep ruby-red wine with shades of violet. Pleasant, seductive, and expressive nose; slightly woody, a mixture of cassis, violet, and spices. Soft coating of the mouth, fine, a harmonious unit with a soft finish.
The vineyard of Chateau La Haye was planted in 1557. Legend has it that the chateau was once the hunting lodge of Henri II where he would rendezvous with Diane de Poitiers. This legend is perpetuated in the monogram of their intertwined initials engraved on the stones of te chateau and now adors their wine labels. This Chateau La Haye Saint-Estephe blend is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
