The aromatics on this wine are stunningly delicious with bold violet and raspberry notes. The palate shows berry flavors as well as a touch of herbaceous and earthy character. Great wine for the price.
Chateau La Hase is a one hectare property with 45 year old vines planted to Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, farmed organically. They prefer the old fashioned approach of ploughing with a horse rather than spraying weedkillers, the green harvest and hand-pick their harvest. 'La Hase' is a female hare, named in honor of the owner's grandfather, who initiated him in the art of hunting.
