One of the world’s most classic and popular styles of red wine, Bordeaux-inspired blends have spread from their homeland in France to nearly every corner of the New World, especially in California, Washington, and Australia.
In the same family for several generations, Chateau Gaillot Fournier is located in the town of Tizac de Curton, between the Garonne and the Dordogne, not far from St. Emilion. The vineyards are planted primarily to Merlot with small amounts of Malbec and Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon, the vines averaging forty years of age. This is a classically-styled, juicy little Bordeaux from a great vintage priced for everyday drinking pleasure.
