Chateau du Haut Queray 2012
Exclusively managed by women, this 15ha estate is currently runned by Martine Borderie, her daughter and her daughter in law. Bright red-ruby robe. Vivid and fruity, this typical Bordeaux has a good structure and beautiful freshness.
100% Merlot. Chateau Haut Queray is a family property located north of the Saint-Emilion satellite appellations. The domain has been family owned for about 200 years. There are 37 acres of vines planted on the edge of the Lussac Saint-Emilion appellation. The vineyard, composed exclusively of Merlot, is grown in the traditional way on remarkable clay-limestone terroir. The property is also exclusively managed by women. In fact, Martine Borderie Giret is surrounded by her daughter and daughter in law when working in the vineyard and on the wines.
