On the noe, honeydew, peaches, flowers. Medium body, medium acidity. The palate is sweet with just the right amount of acidity to balance it out.
Long ago, a man named Bertin decided to cultivate the same vines in his field as those of the Bèze monks. His wine was so exceptional that his vineyard came to be known solely in reference to him: Bertin's field, or, in French, 'Champ de Bertin', which over the years became'Chambertin'.
Aroma: Fruity to the nose. Pineapple and apple notes with a touch of herbal and fresh aromas (citrus and cucumber seeds). Ending with a touch of ash and cloves notes.
Fruit was harvested during the cooler night and early morning temperatures. Grapes were de-stemmed and transferred straight to tank presses within hours of picking. Free run and lightly pressed juice was cold settled for 48-72 hours then racked and inoculated with yeast.
This wine has a golden color, and a characterful fruity aroma. The flavor is rich, full of fruit and flower notes with a long sweet finish.

Cantera Negra Añejo offers a remarkably smooth taste and a warm finish. Although never bottled until passing the stringent taste testing standards of our family panel, it is aged for an average of 30 to 36 months.
