Smoky, flinty notes suggest some reduction at first but open nicely to reveal green-plum and yuzu aromas. Sourced from a single vineyard of 30-year-old, organically farmed vines, it's a fresh, cutting lime and lemon sip with a long, delightfully chalky finish. The wine drinks well young but should hold through 2027.
In 1992 Thomas Haag, the son of the celebrated Brauneberg winemaker Wilhelm Haag, took over the Schloss. It was already very good, but Thomas has made it a Champions League domain by working hard. According to the Gault Millau, it belongs to the very best in Germany. And the only domain in Germany to receive the highest award in all guides! The suppleness and drinkability are trademarks of Schloss Lieser, such elegance and above all the temptation to swallow a wine can be found at few other producers. In short, a must have!
We are delighted to offer this Sauvignon Blanc produced in the Marlborough region of New Zealand that took the world by storm quite a number of years ago, and has remained as one of the most popular wines. This 2023 from Ten Sisters exudes all the tropical moreishness associated with the style, but in a nicely sculpted, fresh package.
Drink this clean, crisp white on release and over the following year or so.
This special dessert wine is made from Gewürztraminer grapes, using ancient Madeira-style technology based on late harvest of fully ripe grapes, most of which are shriveled. The wine is aged in outdoor oak barrels for a year.
Our vin de pays de la loire is made from vines about 29 years old planted on stony slopes. Very open, this Sauvignon remains true to tradition an is a well-balanced wine that shows vivacity from the attack to the finish. The palate offers a long fresh and fruity finish, whilst releasing aromas of white flowers.
The 2017 Yarden Pinot Gris exhibits an aromatic blend of nashi pear, guava, lime, melon and banana fruit characters, along with notes of mineral and spice. With medium body, this captivating wine presents attractive and lingering flavor.
This north-facing limestone site is cool and late ripening. In a warm year like 2019 its quality soars. There is such a fine acidity and outstanding length. I was really blown away by this, and can’t wait to see how the fruit and acidity entwine further with some bottle age. Nervous and tense, this warrants attention.
