Clean, clear and colorless. Holds aromas of agave, clean and fresh on the nose. The agave notes continue through the flavor, strong but not overpowering. Warm, smooth finish. Use in your favorite tequila cocktails.
Another Sonoma Coast releases is the 2016 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard. Quince, buttered citrus, white flowers, creamed corn, and some smoky minerality all define this layered, medium to full-bodied, ultra-pure Chardonnay that has acidity, concentration, and length. It's another gem and all these 2016s are a significant step up over the 2015s.
The 2016 Heritage Selection is expressive and full-bodied, with baked black cherry and concentrated blackberry fruit across the palate with spicy notes of clove and cardamom.
The 2016 Viña Cubillo Tinto Crianza was surprising, spectacular, elegant, clean and fresh like few vintages before. It was a superb year, with quality, quantity and freshness. It's quite the opposite from the previous 2015, which was a much warmer and riper year.
Fragrant, with herbal sharpness, and unusually complex. A rich dark rum with full and intricate flavors, it is well balanced and nuanced with butterscotch, vanilla and caramel notes.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon checks in as a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, and 2% Merlot that spent 22 months in 75% new French oak.
