Ideally located as a Saint-Emilion Satellite Appellation this Chateau benefits from its various complex set of "Terroirs" resulting in an outstanding quality. Deep dark color. Subtle aromatic rose of red, and dark berries. Full on the palate, good texture, fine tannins, and a great balance with a flavorful finish.
Cherry red color with thin terracotta edge showing its longer barrelage. Aromas of mature black fruit, toffee and balsamic as well as some mineral notes. This is a silky wine, but fresh and refreshing as well as elegant and persistent.
For over 35 years, the Herzog and Watts families have worked together to grow spectacular Zinfandel in the Mokelumne River region of Lodi. This Zinfandel is crafted from vines up to 80 years old, capturing intense flavors and rich texture. The wine is balanced and not overly sweet, a style modeled after some of the most historic Late Harvest wines of France.
Intense ruby color. Fruity (ripe red fruits) and spicy aromas. Complex, elegant and well balanced, this is a full-bodied wine with smooth tannins. Long and pleasant finish.
The inaugural release of Ben Glaetzer’s Godolphin Shiraz Cabernet, the 2004 vintage, received rave reviews from the world’s wine press with US critic Robert Parker describing it as “the stuff of legends….. the apogee of Ben Glaetzer’s winemaking talents”, scoring it 96-98 points. UK wine writer Mathew Dukes was equally impressed writing “This is the earth shatteringly brilliant younger brother to Amon-Ra, and it's a hedonistic Shiraz/Cabernet blend. Where Amon-Ra is, admittedly, totally over the top, Godolphin is near perfection.”
