Each Grand Vintage is unique and expresses the Moët & Chandon Cellar Master’s personal interpretation of the year. The maturity of this 2013 champagne—the 75th Grand Vintage in the House’s history—is immediately apparent.
This unique bottling is a blend of Cognacs coming from ten demijohns dated from 1853-1906. So all of the Cognacs in the blend are well over 100 years old and almost all of the blend comes from the 19th century (making it considerably older than the most famous, big brand prestige cuvées like Louis XIII or Richard Hennessy).
This 2023 rendition boasts beautifully fresh, fragrant aromas of honeydew melon, grapefruit and guava, with a slight floral note. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with a silky texture, its vibrant melon, citrus and gooseberry flavors are perfectly balanced, leading to a long, succulent finish boasting bright citrus and mineral tones.
Fruit was harvested during the cooler night and early morning temperatures. Grapes were de-stemmed and transferred straight to tank presses within hours of picking. Free run and lightly pressed juice was cold settled for 48-72 hours then racked and inoculated with yeast.
50% Marsanne, 25% Clairette, 25% Ugni blanc. Light yellow color, bright and clear with light green highlights. Delicate nose with notes of Provencal herbs, anise, white peach, and white acacia. On the palate, there is fleshiness and a fresh, peach-like acidity.
Grape variety, 100% Sauvignon Blanc, organic (not certified), 8 months' ageing in bulk with some lees stirring, lightly fined & filtered before bottling. Located at the northern edge of the appellation De Tracy's vineyard is south-west facing, on flint and Kimmeridgian soils and extends from "Tracy hill" to the "Champs de Cris" plateau. 32 hectares are in production.
Armand de Brignac is marvelously complex and full-bodied, with a bouquet that is both fresh and lively. Its sumptuous, racy fruit character is perfectly integrated with the wine's subtle brioche accents. Its texture is deliciously creamy and the palate has great depth and impact with a long and silky finish.
Piper Heidsieck Essentiel Extra Brut is an exceptional, energetic and fresh Champagne that shows the solid and convincing essence of the Piper-Heidsieck brand, one of the most famous and appreciated Champagne producers in the world. It was created by combining Pinot Noir, fruity Pinot Meunier and elegant Chardonnay.
Our top expression of Sauvignon Blanc, Windward delivers wonderful aromatic intensity, a generous, layered taste profile and classic Marlborough style. Aromas of white peach, kiwi and lemongrass carry through to the silky palate, blending seamlessly with hints of passion fruit, citrus and crushed fresh green herbs.
The 2021 growing season was preceded by mild and dry winter weather from January through March. Winter rainfall was largely absent across Northern California and the Napa Valley entered the growing season with rain totals that ranged from 40 to 60% below normal and had temperatures that were two to three degrees warmer than average.
Discover a story in every sip with Laphroaig Lore. This Islay Scotch draws upon the expertise of generations of distillery managers, blenders and craftsmen, combining some of the rarest whiskies in our storehouse. Founded in 1837 by farmers George and John Rate, twenty miles from the heart of Edinburgh, Glenkinchie was completely rebuild in the 1890s to become a large model distillery.
