Made from the slopes of the Loire Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc takes advantage of 10 generations of winemaking experience. Very aromatic with pleasant flower and fruit fragrances recalling the flower of the vine and the fruit of the Sauvignon grape. On the palate it reveals a freshness and vivacity characteristic of grapes harvested at good maturity.
This wine will be a pillar for California Sauvignon Blanc. The hallmark tropical components are elevated with the structure of minerality that comes from soils at Ink Grade. The grapes used to produce our 2016 Lake County Dalliance Chardonnay came from the hills and slopes of ultra-premium vineyards of Lake County, California. To help retain the lush fruit, this wine was Stainless Steel fermented at cool temperatures, and aged completely in stainless tanks to preserve the crisp, clean aromas and flavors of an oak-free wine.
An unusual white dry-style Pinot Noir from free-run juice, the wine presents a good firm structure. A perfect match for strong Indian and Asian spiced dishes. Also fantastic with a spiced duck leg, dishes with acidic sauces, roasted vegetables and soft cheeses.
The grapes were harvested according to flavour and skin ripeness. To express the purity of fruit flavours from our sitethe majority of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks. A 25% portion was fermented in aged oak barriques and another in skins for aromatic spice and texture. The combination gives a wine full of varietal characters that express the site here at URLAR.
