In 2011, the grapes for the Brunello “Vigneti del Versante” come from two vineyards with similar characteristics – Cancello Rosso and Pian Bassolino.
This makes an excellent entry into the world of Burgundian Pinot Noir. It displays an alluring nose filled with ripe cherry fruit, violets, vanilla and cinnamon. Light in the mouth with good earthy tones expertly blended with the cherry fruit flavours.
The usual intense color indicates a wine of great texture and intensity, followed by a fruity scent that is ripe and fresh at the same time, emphasized by classic balsamic and spicy hints.
