The Founding Brothers is produced in homage to James and William Rennie the founders of the original winery on the property and images of both are portrayed on this label.
First fill XO rum casks are used to finish this whiskey and give it the sweetness of stone fruits. It’s a tribute to the role Irish emigrants played in the development of rum plantations in the Caribbean in the 17th century, but it speaks loud and clear to us today with a bold, fruit-forward style.
A welcoming nose with mango and pineapple up front and fresh sweet orange in the back. On the palate, fruit leads with dark, rich rum undertones to balance the acid. The finish is fruit heavy with sweet rum fading slowly. A perfectly balanced rum punch. We did not think a canned rum punch could taste this good!
