FUYU is a powerful and generous blend from 3 distilleries around Kyoto, a true expression of the Japanese cellar masters’ blending knowhow. Made from grain and malt, FUYU is aged in American white oak barrels to bring generous oak and cooked fruits notes. Its name means “winter” in Japanese.

Opening with alluring aromas of cassis, blackberry, dark chocolate and a touch of black tea, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon entices the senses. Sumptuous flavors of juicy cherry, raspberry and caramelized oak are harmonious and well-balanced with a hint of minerality.
A very fresh and decidedly peppery nose features pretty notes of red berries and an elegant floral nuance. There is fine intensity and volume to the well-detailed middle weight flavors that deliver very good length on the saline-inflected finish. The 2006 Dom Pérignon comes from a very rich vintage with an early ripeness that brought a lot of aromatic maturity.
