Domaine Costal - Henri Costal - is a collaboration between producer Domaine Jean Collet and Kermit Lynch.
One of the many marvels of great Cru Beaujolais is that it can be richly colored and quite deeply concentrated but lively and refreshing at the same time. There’s fruit, earth, and flowers in abundance, but no excesses of tannin or alcohol to weigh you down. That is the magic of Château de la Bottière’s Juliénas: It tastes “big” without, in fact, being big.
Originating in the Jura region of France, the Grivot family settled in Vosne-Romanée right before the French Revolution. In 1919, Gaston Grivot sold his vines in less prominent areas to be able to buy a large plot in the grand cru Clos de Vougeot. He and his son, Jean, were some of the first students to graduate from Dijon University under the oenology program, and soon after they made their last name famous in the wine world.
Whispering Angel is a blend of Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault, Syrah, and Morvedre grapes. This has become one of the “must have” Roses from Provence, and the beautifully shaped bottle has made it a customer favorite! Sacha Lichine, son of the renowned Alexis, hasn’t ceased to combine his talent and wine making know how and so has given a new dimension to Provence Rose.
Domaine Alain Burguet is a renowned winery located in the Burgundy region of France, known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir wines. One of their most celebrated creations is the Chambertin Clos de Beze 2009, a premier cru red wine that embodies the essence of Burgundian winemaking.
Scintillating, rather pale tea-rose pink. The nose opens on aromas of red fruit such as redcurrant and wild strawberry, followed with airing by raspberry and a hint of pink grapefruit. A fruit-forward attack on redcurrant and raspberry leads into a nicely balanced mid-palate lifted by fresh citrus flavors, especially grapefruit, while the finish reveals more floral notes reminiscent of lily-of-the-valley and violet.
La Famille Clarendelle Bordeaux Rouge shows notes of juicy plums, garrigue, cedar, with grippy tannins on the finish.
