Le Bruni Bordeaux Supérieur is a classic French red wine that exemplifies the elegance and tradition of Bordeaux winemaking. Featuring a balanced blend of rich dark fruit flavors, subtle oak, and velvety tannins, it offers a sophisticated and smooth drinking experience.
Generous and lively on the nose with notes of apricot, wild peach, complex pastry aromas and hints of the Garrigue. On the palate, full, ample and intense with delicate notes of fresh flowers, yellow fruit, almonds and sweet spices, followed by a touch of honey. A long, complex and mineral finish.
This north-facing limestone site is cool and late ripening. In a warm year like 2019 its quality soars. There is such a fine acidity and outstanding length. I was really blown away by this, and can’t wait to see how the fruit and acidity entwine further with some bottle age. Nervous and tense, this warrants attention.
Whispering Angel is a blend of Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault, Syrah, and Morvedre grapes. This has become one of the “must have” Roses from Provence, and the beautifully shaped bottle has made it a customer favorite!
A very fresh and decidedly peppery nose features pretty notes of red berries and an elegant floral nuance. There is fine intensity and volume to the well-detailed middle weight flavors that deliver very good length on the saline-inflected finish. Good stuff that could be enjoyed young or aged for a few years to good effect.
The name Colline aux Fossiles may seem fanciful, but there are actually old, weathered fossils mixed in this site’s gravelly soils. The Colline Aux Fossiles Chardonnay is picked when the flavors are rich and ripe but when there is still plenty of natural acidity remaining in the grapes.
Markovic Estates Shiraz Semi Sweet 2019 bursts with big, ripe jammy fruit and a semi-sweet, spicy structure on the palate. Its bold flavors make it a perfect match for red meat, deli, barbecue, and cheese.
Maison Nicolas Cabernet Sauvignon is a smooth and approachable red wine that captures the essence of this classic varietal. Offering rich aromas of dark berries, blackcurrant, and a hint of spice, this wine delivers a well-balanced palate with soft tannins and a pleasant finish.
Château de la Deidière Rosé Côtes de Provence is a refined and elegant rosé wine from the sun-drenched vineyards of Provence. With delicate aromas of fresh berries, citrus, and floral notes, it offers a crisp and refreshing taste with a smooth, dry finish.
Saint-Germain is a textbook example of good value found in the Graves, at the South of Bordeaux. This Cabernet-Sauvignon blend comes from 35 years-old vins growing on a sand and gravely soil.
The 2009 Haut-Brion is deep garnet colored and slightly closed and shy to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal sensuous notions of warm blackberries, plum preserves, mulberries and blackcurrant cordial with touches of star anise, mocha and damp soil.
Aromas of fresh violets and roses, ripe cherries, plums, clove, and a touch of bacon fat leap out of the glass and definitely raise eyebrows. On the palate, it’s sleek, silky, and complete.
Domaine Lucien Boillot Volnay 2010 is an elegant Burgundy wine that showcases the finesse and charm of the Volnay appellation. This Pinot Noir offers delicate aromas of red berries, violets, and a touch of earthiness, leading to a silky palate with well-integrated tannins and a refined finish.
The wine is aged in oak barrels for 15 months. It has a nice bright straw gold color. The nose is with great finesse with notes of citrus, flowers (acacia), minerality and it reveals a slight touch of honey, which will increase with age.
