Marsannay is the village which marks the northern gateway to the Côte d'Or on leaving Dijon, the capital of Burgundy and home to the Ducs de Bourgogne. This village marks the beginning of the Route des Grands Crus which follows the N6 highway through the Côte d'Or. Marsannay received its Appellation Contrôlée in 1987 in recognition of its consistently high quality wines.

This new addition to the range of wines of Château Angélus, made under the Bordeaux appellation, offers a more streamlined version of its illustrious elders - Angélus, Carillon d’Angélus and N°3 d’Angélus, with which it shares the same depth and complexity while being at the same time more approachable young.
Since joining the family operation, the young Arnaud and David have shown remarkable ambition and precision in their work ethic: they have increased the family holdings to twenty-one hectares, adding single-vineyard cuvees while constantly striving for more complexity and layered texture in the mineral-driven beauties they produce.
Shiny, green-gold color. Complex and subtle aromas of quince, walnuts, honey, ginger, and acacia with a hint of linden tree. A straightforward, non-aggressive palate, with a very elegant, very long, and almond finish.
