Very beautiful color, steady and deep. A first intense nose of soaked red berries reveals then some spicy notes of clove. The attack is very round. The mouth is ample, supported by very ripe tannins.
Clos de la Roilette spans 9 hectares on one of the best crus of the Beaujolais, Fleurie. Alain Coudert took over from his father in 1987, who had inherited the domain twenty years earlier. This Meursault is pale yellow in color with green highlights and a subtle and fresh nose of citrus fruits and vanilla, with some oak adding a certain complexity. It is still quite tight on the back-palate.
