Made from the slopes of the Loire Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc takes advantage of 10 generations of winemaking experience. Very aromatic with pleasant flower and fruit fragrances recalling the flower of the vine and the fruit of the Sauvignon grape. On the palate it reveals a freshness and vivacity characteristic of grapes harvested at good maturity.
Domaine Jean Grivot is among the great names in Burgundian wine. Étienne Grivot and his wife Marielle took over from Étienne’s father Jean Grivot in 1987. The vineyards are densely planted and farmed organically “sans certification” while the aim in the cellar is for balance and clear expression of terroir.
Silky, smooth, and seductive, "Maitresse," from the French for "Maitresse," is ruby red with slight purple tinges in the glass. The perfumed nose shows aromas of savoury cherry, plum and spice with hints of subtle oak. Spicy berry fruit flavours are supported by silky tannins with a finish that will make you long for more.

This terroir produces a very elegant wine. It showcases a good balance of fruits and tannins. Recommended pairing with poultry, meat and cheese.
