The Terraces Zinfandel Napa Valley is a bold and expressive red wine that showcases the rich flavors of Napa Valley's terroir. This Zinfandel offers enticing aromas of ripe berries, black cherry, and a hint of spice, with a well-balanced palate featuring smooth tannins and a touch of vanilla oak.
Dark ruby in the glass, aromas of dark cherries and raspberry mingle with nuances of licorice. Soft and velvety, robust with a voluptuous and full-bodied mouthfeel, the palate unfolds with decadent layers of intense chocolate-covered dark red cherries, and a delicate hint of wild sage.
The eleventh vintage of this wine! Fenaughty Vineyard, at roughly 2800 feet elevation, is located in the Apple Hill District above Placerville, in El Dorado County. The soil at Fenaughty is Aiken-Loam, a dark-red, well-drained soil type of volcanic origin.
Apothic Merlot reveals depths of black cherry, boysenberry and wild blueberries with subtle hints of vanilla and coconut. To add dimension to the wine, we added a touch of a unique grape called Teroldego, which marries well with the Merlot to create plush tannins and a long, lasting finish.
