This wine Herzog Special Reserve Quartet is a blend of 36% Petit Verdot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec and 15% Zinfandel. Opens with notes of dark cherries, blueberries, and a mouthful of spice and vanilla, complemented by lengthy, developed tannins, finishing with a hint of dark chocolate.
A combination of the sky and the ocean, La Maison Bleue is a perfect symbol of the terroir from which it comes. This cuvée has benefited from the warmth of the South-West sun to develop body and complexity, while at the same time enjoying an oceanic climate which gives it freshness and vivacity.
Aromas of raspberries, cassis, roasted coffee beans and mint. A full-bodied, balanced and generous wine. Binyamina Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the best of Upper Galilee's terroir, verifying the claim of world-renowned wine writers Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson that Galil is "the region with the most obvious potential" in Israel.
Smooth and enticing cherry and strawberry on the nose. Vanilla features heavily on the palette with almost chocolate and nutmeg. Warm and textured finish. Dark ruby color, red and dark fruit in the taste. Nice fruity nose.
Serve this extraordinary wine as a complement to potato and leek gratin, quick gorgonzola pasta sauce, noodles with beef, risotto with peas mint and lemon, luxurious four-cheese macaroni and cheese, spinach and herb risotto, butternut squash risotto with bacon and sage.
This dry white wine is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Judea and Samaria regions of Israel. The grapes were harvested early, and matured for 10 months in French oak barrels, and underwent batonnage (stirring of the lees in a barrel) once a week.
