The Psagot Prat is a red port wine made from grapes grown in the Judean Hills. The color is a dark purple, with floral notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and rose pedals. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, which adds nice vanilla oak flavors to the complex fruit flavors. Tasting notes include blackberry, plum, cranberry, coffee, and chocolate. The oak also smooths over the mouth feel and leaves the wine supple with velvety tannins.

This wine is produced from exquisitely balanced grapes grown in Segal's Dishon Vineyard. The vineyard, in the Kadesh Valley in the northern Galilee, is planted on well-drained, dark soil at a height of 430 meters above sea level. Select blocks of the vineyard are densely planted, and strict vineyard management limits the yield, thus intensifying the grapes' natural sugar, acid, and color.
