Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon is a very approachable wine produced using grapes grown in California's Central Coast region. Each lot of wine was aged separately and all lots were blended before bottling. Displays berry aromas and impressive blackberry and spice flavors.
Intense Ruby red. Herbal aroma, with hints of red berries and cinnamon. The taste is elegant, harmonious and fruity. The finish is herbaceous and full with soft tannins.
A delicious, rich, and smooth wine with well-focused currant, black cherry, and chocolate flavors supported by spicy oak nuances in the background. It pairs well with fried chicken or stir fry.
With its intense flavors and layered complexity, combined with softness and restraint, this wine is capable of gracefully maturing in a bottle, befitting of wines produced in the Superieur Series.
For red varieties, harvests began on 21 September for the ‘old’ Merlot and finished on 8 October with the Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wines are extraordinarily fruity with a deep color, powerful aromas, and silky tannins with a high concentration of polyphenols.
The wine is medium intensity cherry colored with violet hints. It has intense fruit aromas combined with balsamic and spicy nuances. A full-bodied and structured wine, meaty but well balanced and easy to drink.
A very masculine wine, impressive through its fruity character. It evolves so perfectly during maturation, in oak barrels, which give it and original bouquet and a complex taste harmony.
This wine is huge, expansive and profound. There are wood-smoke and tobacco fragrances alongside blackberry and dark cherry flavors. The body is full and thick however there are delicate tannins in the surface.
