Coming on the heels of a prolonged multi-year drought, the 2016 growing season was defined by near-ideal conditions. Rain in March and early April allowed the vines to start the spring with ample moisture in the soil, making for healthy canopies and balanced vines.
Penfolds Quantum Bin 98 is the continuation of a twenty-year endeavor from when Australian vine cuttings were planted in Californian soil. The color is a deep scarlet-red with lush aromas of blackberry bramble, nutmeg, and hint of caramel. The wine is fresh andexuberant in the mouth with sumptuous strawberry jam, ripe black cherry, cranberry and warm gingerbread.
Dark crimson in color, the strong, classic Zinfandel aromas of briar fruit and wild strawberries jump out of the glass and are complemented by hints of wet forest floor and high mountain forest.

The Late Harvest Oremus is a blend of the four grapes that have been affected by botrytis. It is fermented in the barrels that have just finished the fermentation of the dry wines and consists of a mix of Furmint (about 50%), Hárslevelű, Muscat and Zeta.
