Bright yellow straw color, with green hints that reflect its youth. Aromas of tropical fruits (pineapple) and citrus fruits first appear along with white fruits (apple) and herbs, such as boxwood and fennel. Dry with an amazing balance of freshness and acidity. Good structure and body given by its fine lees aging. Long finish with a slightly acidic palate, typical of the variety. Pair with white fish, tuna, sushi, seafood rice, paella & pasta.
Pale pink in color, fine fruity and slightly spicy in scent with nuances of small red fruit. The taste is round, full and fresh and ends aromatic with a mild and persistent finish.
Food pairing: Full flavoured fish, salads, cheeses, grilled chicken. Alc. 14% by Vol.
Deep ruby red. Notes of black fruits, sweet spices, liquorice and a touch of cocoa. Develops a medium body, with notes of plum and blueberries, velvety tannins, and a smooth and pleasant finish.
Very ripe strawberries and raspberries with hints of cranberry. This wine has a creamy texture, yet it is delicate and fresh with a crisp finish. Grapes grown from some of the most choice land in the surrounding region of La Motte en Provence, consisting primarily of Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino), Cinsault, Syrah, and Tibouren.
Tasted at the château, the 2005 Chateau d’Yquem delivers a similar performance as last year. Lucid in colour, the bouquet is detailed with very pure honey, vanilla and almond scents, still a little new oak to be fully assimilated but demonstrating superb focus.
Produced from Merlot and Cab franc grapes. The wine is floral fruity and crisp,with a delicate sweetness,and aromas of jasmine and red grapefruit. Suitable for light meals during the hot summer months. Serve chilled.
