The third of seven expressions in this limited series from the venerable Midleton distillery. Kylebeg Wood – or An Coill Beag, as it is in Irish – refers to ‘the little wood,’ a carefully managed forest that has stood on the Ballykilcavan Estate since the 17th century.
E&J VSOP premium brandy takes smooth to another level. It’s barrel-aged to perfection, bringing out aromas of sweet and brown spice, and flavors of vanilla cream, maple and sherry.
Chocolate shines through first on the nose, with oak, vanilla pudding, and spice. The palate showcases chocolate malt balls and more spicy oak, along with cornbread, and spearmint.
This rum is packed with mouth watering flavors that include maple, chocolate, honey and toffee and presents a rich full-bodied taste that tapers off in to the classic rum finish.
Nice minerality and forward aroma from rainwater distillation. Silky texture with slight heat. True agave, spicy, peppery, smooth and delicious with nice buttery notes and smoky elements. Complex, but pleasant sipping.
This unique expression opens with aromas of ripe mango, ruby grapefruit, and spiced apple cider, layered with notes of piloncillo sugar, anise, allspice berries, and mesquite wood. The palate reveals flavors of baked pear, charred peaches, ginger molasses cookies, freshly fried churros, orange blossom, cinnamon bark, black licorice, oak, and leather.
