Planas is the replacement for Diplomatico's Blanco Reserva. Aged for six years, the same as its predecessor, the strength has been upped to 47%. The result is a rich and chewy rum with notes of cappuccino and a nutty finish. Voted spirit of the year 2018 from Wine Enthusiast.
Barbados rum aged one to three years and Jamaican pot still rum aged 10 to 15 years are blended and aged for another three to six months in the southwest of France. The result is a profound structure spiced with notes of cinnamon and clove, and a smoky quality that adds texture. Ideal for cocktails.
For the sixth release of the Master Blender Collection, Mount Gay Master Blender Trudiann Branker has put together a blend with some of the oldest rum stocks in the Mount Gay bonds. This tropical aging process created deeply aromatic flavours of burnt oak and toasted vanilla.
