The Pierre Vallet XXO Hors d’Age Cognac is an “extra, extra old'' blend of eaux-de-vie brought to you for the first time from Maison Pierre Vallet; a humble family-run Cognac house that has dipped its toes into production of the newest age denomination in the Cognac world and have created their very own Hors d’Age extra eaux-de-vie.
The original blend was created at the request of the Imperial Court of Russia in 1818 by the Empress as a birthday gift for her son, Tsar Alexander I. Nearly 200 years later, Yann Fillioux, 7th generation Hennessy mater blender, paid tribute to the first commission and created this special blend.
Pierre Vallet XO cognac is an extra old blend of eaux-de-vie, brought for the first time from Maison Pierre Vallet. Pierre Vallet is a family business owned by the same family responsible for Château de Montifaud.

This XO Cognac shows an intense gold colour with dense mahogany highlights. On the nose, it reveals pastry aromas, with notes of abricot, orange and white flowers finely followed by hints of cinnamon. Lavish notes of butter and candied fruit mingle on the palate, anticipating a long finish rich in spices.
Bright amber in color, with hints of gold. An initially oaky bouquet is followed by an intense fragrance. On the palate it is very mellow with a slight burn. Elegant floral and spice aromas give way to woody herbs, vanilla, raisins and other fried fruits.
