French Armagnac is a distinctive kind of world oldest Craft brandy produced in the Armagnac province, between the Adour and Garonne rivers in the foothills of the Pyrenees, southwest France in the fertile Gascony region by small producers.
This XO Cognac shows an intense gold colour with dense mahogany highlights. On the nose, it reveals pastry aromas, with notes of abricot, orange and white flowers finely followed by hints of cinnamon. Lavish notes of butter and candied fruit mingle on the palate, anticipating a long finish rich in spices.
Eye: Deep flamed amber.
Nose: Finely balanced, rich and mellow bouquet of dried flowers and rich, spicy aromas. A taste of juicy lemon and lime flavors, supported by elegant mineral acidity.
Amber colour. On the nose, musky and vinous aromas (old Semillon), with a waxed sidelined with acetic notes. On the palate, greedy attack, the first notes confirm this characteristic nose, with a predominance of nutmeg and liquorice.
Old gold color. Decadant nose, striking the nose with the very best of what a Grande Champagne cognac can offer. Tantalizes with hawthorn and bright notes of oak and licorice. Then currants, candied apricot.
On the nose, pleasant floral notes and a beautiful aromatic complexity punctuated with subtle woody touches. An overall elegance typical of aged Cognacs from Grande Champagne.

Vintage 1983 Fins Bois. Old gold dress, slightly amber highlights. Rich and balanced nose, pleasant overall, with a rather "classic" side. After a few minutes, aromas of white flowers, hawthorn and liquorice take over.
