Semi-sweet red wine made from Saperavi grapes is produced in a traditional way. The frozen Gewurztraminer grapes were harvested in late December when temperatures fell between -10ºC and -13ºC. After setting the juice in stainless steel tanks, cool fermentation was completed. The wine was then placed outside to complete a natural cold stabilization.
Mukuzani is an excellent wine from Georgia, made from Saperavi sort of vine, cultivated in the Mukuzani micro-zone of the Kakhetian region. The wine is aged in an oak barrel and has a dark ruby color with oak flavor, spicy taste and saturated flavor. The wine is recommended together with veal, lamb, pork and cheese under a temperature of 60 °F - 65 °F.
Produced from Saperavi grapes grown in our estate owned vineyards in village Tsinadali of Kakhet region. Fermentation is driven by natural yeast. Aged in oak barrels. Deep cherry red color, with black prune, blackberry, cherry and vanilla tones. The aftertaste is long and spicy with touch of oak, supported by silky tannins. Perfect pair to grilled beef, game and old cheese. Recommended serving temperature 66-68 degrees F.
As a somewhat more powerful alternative to Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch is also playing an increasingly important role at the Glatzer winery. The typical black cherry dominates the nose, plus a lot of spice with cloves and allspice, also blackberries and some orange zest, plus leafy nuances. A mellow texture on the palate, very engaging, again the spicy blackberry, plus roasted plums, soft tannin and delicate acidity, but intense - a true Blaufränkisch flatterer!
