Qvevri Saperavi is a deep red color wine with dark purple hints, made in traditional ancient way. Nose is intense, offering aromas of fresh ripe red fruits and minty flavours. Mouth is soft and juicy finishing on sweet spices and young tannins.Food matching: Grilled vegetables and meat. Cheeses. T 16-18°C.
Tasting Profile: A lighter-bodied, ruby-colored red, with tangy, fruity notes on the palate—cherries, damsons and the like. Richly flavored, with ripe tannins and some acidity. There is a slight, underlying spice to this wine.
Food Pairing: Kebabs, roasted veggies, spicy grilled fare, deli meats.
Beautifully fruit-driven with sappy cherry aroma; the palate is succulent and dense; with layers of mint and blackberries. After one week of maceration this wine is aged in neutral 2000-liter casks for nine months. Pair with mild to slightly spicy dishes with red meat as well as Spanish and Mexican food.
The ancient Georgian word "Gemieri" is translated as "tasty". A hand-picked variation of carefully selected and ripe grapes from the microzones Sviri in Imereti and Tsinandali in Kakheti. After separating from the stems, the berries are cooled to 4-6 ° C and pressed with controlled pressure. The fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank at the optimum temperature. After fermentation is complete, the wine is poured into another stainless steel tank for further refinement.
