Veramonte Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva: Veramonte Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is a Chilean red wine known for its deep, rich flavors. It offers tasting notes of ripe blackberries, cassis, and hints of cedar and spice.
This Carmenere is sourced from two section of Invina Batuco vineyard in the Maule Valley of Chile. The Carmenere grape with black fruit, herbal notes and soft tannins is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon to add a spicy red fruit characteristic, and Syrah to include notes of red licorice.
The intense violet color makes it a worthy representative of the wines from Los Chacayes. A wine of distinct aromatic complexity, with outstanding notes of red fruits, floral aromas of violets, vanilla and cigar. The mouth confirms the presence of black fruits like blackberries and spices. The medium structure and silky tannins are perfectly balanced with the delicious natural acidity, leading to a prolonged finish.
Altos Las Hormigas was founded in 1995 by Alberto Antonini, renowned Italian winemaker, and Antonio Morescalchi, moved by the potential of Malbec. The team is completed by Atilio Pagli, the Chilean Pedro Parra, soil specialist, and Fede Gambetta, today in charge of the day to day. The incessant fight against ants in organic vineyards gives rise to the name.
Intense and deep ruby red. Delicious aromas of berries, plums and black cherries give way to light touches of vanilla and dark chocolate. The presence of black plums and spices stands out, making this wine very generous in the mouth. It has a good structure and firm tannins.
