Quinta del 67 is an homage to traditional Spanish winemaking, offering a robust and inviting red wine blend that captures the warmth and spirit of Spain. This wine is rich and full-bodied, featuring a complex bouquet of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, complemented by notes of vanilla, tobacco, and a hint of spice from its aging in oak barrels.
Javier Revert has created a beautifully focussed expression of Bobal in this field blend which includes 30% white grapes. Smokey yet fresh with black cherry, Mediterranean herbs, and a hint of black olive.
Unlike the site specific wines of Terroir Al Limit, Terroir Històric is devoted to expressing the complex character of the whole of Priorat in two colors: white and red. While the project launched in 2015 is a remarkable incubator for new plantings from the clay and schist soils of Montsant, it is also a liquid homage, utilizing the négocient tradition of the past to secure a sustainable future.
Made from 90% Mencía, with Palomino, Doña Blanca, and Alicante Bouschet, these vines are located in several plots with an average age of at least 50 years. Vinification is 50% whole cluster fermentation and 10 months aging in clay amphorae. This a dark-fruited and savory dry red made with a touch of white grapes. Pair with a smoky chorizo.
Mostly peppery on the nose with cherry and blackberry hints. The palate is gentle thanks to depth and freshness provided by humid winds coming from the near ocean.
Top wine from this estate. 100% Listán Negro. Powerful nose of minerals and cherry notes, earth, leather, salt, plums, raspberries and other outerworldly notes. On the palate it's elegant and Burgundian with loads of insane depth and particles floating left and right.
Numanthia 2017 is an intense and deep red wine. On the nose, it presents aromas of red and black fruits, spices like pepper or cinnamon, and toasted notes of licorice and cocoa. Its passage on the palate is silky and well-structured. An extraordinary red wine, meaty, elegant, and with a lot of personality.
Vega Sicilia is widely regarded as the greatest wine producer in Spain. The estate in Ribera del Duero is known for its dense, complex red wines made principally from the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grape variety. Its top wine, Unico, is one of Spain's most expensive and sought-after wines.
