This rendition of Orphan Barrel was distilled at the Teaninich Distillery, a leader in whisky distilling and cutting-edge technology. Located in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, overlooking the shores of the Cromarty Firth, the land is well-known for its aquatic wildlife and beautiful sceneries.
Bright copper in the glass, the sweet aromas suggest maple and allspice. The light, drying palate echoes that maple hint alongside grapefruit peel tones, finishing with a flurry of baking spice and mouthwatering lemon peel. A drop of water coaxes a gentle waft of smoke. Overall a delicate, ethereal sipper.
A 1993 vintage, single-cask whisky from Glendronach. This has been matured for 24 years in an a sherry butt and bottled as part of the distillery's 15th batch. Rich, sweet, heavy sherry aromas and flavours.
A lively expression of The Singleton of Glen Ord; smooth and sweet, with elegant winey notes intermingled with luscious red fruits, it is also spicy-dry, with a gingery heat.
The first edition of Benriach Malting Season is created with a unique process that brings out the wholesome, creamy flavor found in the distillery’s floor malted spirit.
The famous peated expression (35 ppm) from French Brittany-based distillery Glann Ar Mor (which can be translated at "by the sea") - matured in ex-bourbon casks, uncoloured and non-chillfiltered.
The revived Glendronach Revival: a whisky whose original incarnation was so popular that we drank all of it. It's back with a new recipe thanks to master blender Rachel Barrie, combining both oloroso and PX casks into a rich sherry-monster that's packed with spice and fruit. We don't think it's going to disappear of the shelves again, but when it comes to Glendronach 15 Year Old, we always recommend stocking up.
