The Stratus cloud is characterized by its many layers as is this wine, produced from 100% Shiraz grapes grown in the Galilee. Hand harvested from low yield vineyards, one can discern flavors of cocoa and spice with a down to earth, rich drinkability. The wine was aged for 14 months in oak barrels.
In the glass, it has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, the bouquet is decisive with floral notes and hints of red berry fruit and a spicy aftertaste. The taste is soft and enveloping and the ever present tannins are never invasive.
A soft, pale, brilliant pink with bluish tints developing over time towards more orangey nuances. The bouquet releases aromas of summer fruits, cassis and redcurrant. Floral notes of rose along with hints of grapefruit complete the picture.
This dessert wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz grapes. Selective hand harvesting brought only the finest clusters to the winery, where they underwent a three-day controlled cooling.
